About me

Angela trained in obstetrics and gynaecology through John Hunter Hospital after graduating from Newcastle University with Distinction. After completing a fellowship through the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne she returned to Newcastle and established a paediatric and adolescent gynaecology program servicing the Hunter New England. She remains as a staff specialist gynaecologist at John Hunter and John Hunter Children’s Hospitals in Newcastle, NSW.

During her time in Melbourne Angela was exposed to the importance of fertility options for gender diverse patients as well as young people faced with malignancy or severe medical illness. Angela completed a Master of Reproductive Medicine and Graduate Certificate in Clinical Innovation to augment her knowledge in these important fields.

Angela specialises in fertility preservation, including egg and sperm freezing due to social reasons, medical reasons and prior to gender transitioning. Her speciality also includes paediatric and adolescent gynaecology as well as gynaecological issues in gender diversity. She is passionate about young people not being limited by their periods and works closely with local paediatric and pain specialists to achieve this.

Angela has rooms at:
